Who doesn't love cactus everything right now? Last year at a design show, one of the brand reps told Trinity and I that the trend was going to die out soon, but in the state of Arizona, anything cactus is always in style! This glassware is called Blakely Glassware. Isn't it fabulous? This saguaro cup is probably my favorite! Which one is yours? Also, can we talk about these fantastic vintage hand-painted paintings in the background? They look just like the Arizona desert! In the 1940s through the 1960s, Blakely gas stations was a private brand gas chain in Arizona. The gas station had a giveaway promotion program. For every 10 gallons of gas purchased, you would receive an Arizona cactus tumbler! The glasses came in 8 different designs called Yucca cactus, Century cactus, Organ pipe cactus, Ocotillo cactus, Barrel cactus, Prickly pear cactus, and Saguaro cactus. Blakely gas station then later had dinnerware, wooden trays, holders, and much more to add to your collection. Aren't they just darling? The store has all eight designs for sale. When I was younger, I remember my grandma having them. She would never let anyone use them because she was always scared that people were going to break them. She would keep them on display. My grandma had the whole set! Including the pitcher and the very hard to find wood tray. If I could collect the entire set, I don't think I would let people use them either, eheh. Look at these great vintage pictures from Blakely! We have lot's of Arizona home decor in the store right now! We always love to add a little bit of our state into the store, whether it be for people wanting to add it into their decor in their own homes or for people visiting so they can take home a little something to remember their trip to Arizona. See you soon!

Boho-Chic boho-SHek (noun) Is a style of fashion drawing on various bohemian and hippie influences. We wanted to change it up from our usual decor! This style was a little challenging for me but wow did Trinity (my daughter) shine. This is for sure her style...For now! As she gets ready to go to interior decorating school, I'm sure like her Mama it will change constantly! The more we crafted, painted, vignetted and listen to Stevie Nicks the more boho chic love I had. This shelf unit pictured above was made from various locker parts. Because you can paint Jolie Paint on metal, we were able to turn it in to such a beautiful cohesive piece. Isn't this Buddha adorable? You can't have a boho chic area without mud cloth pillows! Peace and love my friends,
