Ball Masson Jar
This 1 quart Ball Perfect Mason jar is in the shade of aqua, known as 'Ball Blue' named for the prevalent jar maker. Colored jars were considered better for canning as they blocked the light from reaching the food thus helping to retain flavor and nutritional value. Based on the embossed 'Ball' logo, this mason jar dates in the 1923 - 1933 period. The jar has a screw on zinc lid. The jar has a few “seeds,” which are simply trapped air bubbles.
Please note that most vintage/antique items may have minor wear due to their age and being loved, which we believe only adds to the charm and patina of these pieces.
