HOW TO USE A PENDULUM
Hold the pendulum bead that's attached to the end of the chain between your thumb and index finger. Make sure your elbow is slightly tilted away from your body. Choose whatever hand that feels the most comfortable for you. Make sure the pendulum is suspended about 1'' to 3'' above the opposite hand. Take a few deep breaths and relax.
Understanding the directional swings:
There are so many swing directions to use for a yes and no answer. Many people us side-by-side swings as "No" and front and back as "Yes". Pendulums swing in vertical, horizontal, clockwise, counterclockwise, and elliptical motions. You can consciously program the direction you feel comfortable with. State out loud or in your head what direction you want yes and no to be. Test it out to see if it works. If it doesn't, try programming a different swing. If it still doesn't work, ask the pendulum "What does a NO look like?" and then, "What does a yes look like?" The next test is to ask it something that you know is true:
IS MY NAME__________ ?
You should get your "YES" response.
Now, ask the pendulum something you know is NOT true:
