Boxwood
Like a perfectly manicured topiary, Boxwood is rich and grassy green. Its pastoral tones are lush and leafy. For a classic combination fit for a library study, pair with Ink Blue. Combined with French Enamel and Mustard Seed Yellow for a quaint English Country Cottage feel. When mixed with Ink Blue, it creates a vintage chalkboard finish. (recipe)
MMS Milk Paint Description: Milk Paint is a powdered paint that has been around for thousands of years. It was found in the pyramids in Egypt and has been used in America for years on furniture, walls, barns, etc. It is a versatile paint that can be used to achieve various looks, from chippy and distressed to smooth and sleek. Our new MilkPaint™ formula is made from four 100% natural ingredients that you can pronounce - casein (milk protein), lime (calcium hydroxide), natural pigments, and plant-based filler.
A sample of MilkPaint™ will cover approx. 10 square feet, a pint will cover approx 35 square feet. The pint is the same as the old formals quart of milk paint as far as coverage.
Clean your project thoroughly before painting with soap and water and mix this powder with water- it's that easy! MilkPaint™ finish is unique and can range from a solid color to a stain. It all depends on how much water you add! MilkPaint™ can be applied to any porous surface without a primer. For adhesion to previously finished surfaces, sand with medium grit paper prior to application. For additional adhesion, add MilkGrip™ bonding agent.
If your painting item is not porous, you will need MilkGrip™ bonding agent not to have chips or cracks. However, that's why we use it! We are in love with the chippy vintage look!
MilkPaint™ does require a topcoat for durability. Any of our top coats will deepen the color when used. You can Refrigerate a sealed container of excess mixed paint for up to 2 weeks!
