Hey All! So just a quick note...WE GOT OUR VERY OWN STORE!!! We've been open for about 3 months now and things are crazy busy! I am trying to juggle a million and one things, all with having a million and one kids ;0)   Here is a couple pictures to show why I haven't posted in forever!

This is the back of the store.

After

Here's a part of the front of the store.  The store before us had a bunch of rooms and a kitchen that needed to go.  We also got rid of the lovely carpet and tile because I NEEDED concrete floors!

Now the middle...

::Little Cottage Dresser::

One of my dearest friends was getting out of the biz about a year ago. She is honestly one of the most talented ladies I know!  You know that booth or space you go into for inspiration or just to make you happy?  Yup, that was her.  This little gem was a project piece that she was ready to get rid of and I was HAPPY to take it! :0)

Isn't it lovely? I have had this little dresser a whole long time and I did not know what to do with it. I really loved it - just like this. I absolutely adored the color but the problem was that it was real drippy, not a cool drippy either...yes, there is a difference! Eehheeh

I decided to go with a fresh cottage look. My goal was to expose the real wood because it is just ah-mazing! There was a bunch of layers of paint on it, so I went for the paint remover, UGH!! Not my favorite.

This is what I got after 3 treatments, seriously not fun. After going through a WHOLE can of paint remover, I went and picked up a new brand. Holy Smokes! Jasco is wonderful!! One spray on the door and drawers and it almost wiped the paint clean off!!

Word of advice: Wear your gloves because it really burns your skin!

After it was cleaned off, I painted the rest of the dresser with Pure White Chalk Paint®, distressed it a bit, clear waxed it and changed the knobs.

This is her now! I'm loving the wood but I wish I could have used her original knobs.  They were too broken, boo!

::Sweet Salvage~March::

Spring has sprung!

We are so lucky to live in Arizona during March. The weather is perfect, the birds are chirping and flowers are blooming, everywhere!  Sweet Salvage was no exception and now having the courtyard...It's a gardener's dream!

Inside was just a perfect blend of home decor and outside elements.

Look at that cabinet!  I think it was my favorite piece of this whole show!

Ooooh, that tail gate! AND there is one of my favorite olive buckets!!

For my space I went a little garden whimsical!

Have you started gardening yet?

::Fun Times::

So many things are going on in our little Grungy Galz world!

In December we were busy with Sweet Flea.
That is the AMAZING show at Sweet Salvage where we give back to the YOU!
With many sweet deals & free items!!

January was Room For Improvement
It was filled with new improvements, like the WAREHOUSE!!

The warehouse is filled with amazing salvage, decor and more!

Grungy Galz  got a bigger space.
It has been so much fun to vignette and I now have room for more junk!

...clothes, hair accessories and more boutique stuff!

February was Rustic Luxe, this was sooo much fun!
I'm big on pallets, how about you?
We decided to make a couch out of a couple...Four to be exact!

I also had Crafty Hubby whip up one of his Mason Jar Chandy's.
I love these guys, I'm thinking we need one for our house.

Fun times indeed!

::Buckin' Beautiful::

I've been having so much fun with my new German Glass Glitter line! Have you ever played with it? It's like sparkle heaven in a jar! I use so much of it on my signs and everyone would ask where I get it from, now on I can say me!  Here it is...Isn't it purdy?!

Now the fun part, let's play!! Here's what I used~
* Paper mache deer head.
* Artisan Enhancements Transfer Gel
* Paris Grey Chalk Paint®.
* Pure White Chalk Paint®.
* Liquid Nails Adhesive,
* Cabinet Door.

This what I started with, so cute right?  She was talking to me at Hobby Lobby and telling me she needed some sparkle to her...It was $30 dollars but with my handy dandy phone app, I got it for 40% off!! SAY WHAT!!!??

Then she got painted with Paris Gray, I always paint before I glitter.  That way it blends better with the German Glass Glitter, kinda like your base coat and then the glitter is your top coat.

 After the Chalk Paint® drys, which is fast. Paint on the Artisan Enhancements Transfer Gel, I use this like a decoupage and paint it on in sections. After painting the transfer gel on your first section, grab your fanciest vintage spoon :0) Or a scoop of some sort, and pour it on! Make sure you are doing this over a tote or a large paper because your German Glass Glitter is precious and you want to save all that left over goodness!

Next, I painted my cabinet door with Pure White and distressed it a bit. I then put on the Liquid Nails on the back of her neck and placed on the cabinet door. It takes a bit for the glue to set and she's gonna be heavy with all that glitter on her...SO, your going to have to be patient and hold her there. Or you can prop her up until the adhesive sets.  I watched an episode of My Heart Of Dixie and the adhesive was set! I would most defiantly do that if I were you!

Woo-Hoo!! She's all done, I'm sooooo in love with this glitter and she is  just so buckin' beautiful!!

::Flowers of Sweet Salvage ~ July::

Sooo, I missed last month!! Let's see what pictures I deprived you from ;0)

Sweet Salvage July's show rolled out the red carpet to bring you the Now Showing show!

This one is so much fun, it's full of items based on films! Here are the vignettes that caught my eye..

Heather's Willy Wonka

Stephanie's Titanic

Robert's Harry Potter (Banana and Starbucks not part of his creation, ehehhe)

Cindy's Vintage Envy  Alice and Wonderland

Jody and Lisa's The Notebook

I chose Cinderella! If you you know me at all, you know I have a HUGE weakness for anything Disney! I had so much fun with this vignette.

What is your favorite film?
